We are always happy to welcome groups and schools any time of the year. Located at the convergence of the Rappahannock River and the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia's beautiful and historic N0rthern Neck, the Steamboat Era Museum is easily reached by land, sea, and air.
For pilots, Hummel Field is located just across the Rappahannock River. For boaters, we are surrounded on all sides by water with many wonderful marinas, including the The Tides Inn. Come ashore, grab a bike, and explore the charming village of Irvington, including shopping, dining, world class accommodations, The Steamboat Era Museum, Historic Christ Church, and much more. |
