Join Steamboat Era Museum
In 1998 a small group of Irvington residents met to discuss the possibility of building a museum to tell the story of the Steamboat Era in Irvington.
Little did they dream that 20 years later the Steamboat Era Museum would become the nation's leading institution telling the story of the Steamboat Era in the Chesapeake Bay
Our founders always hoped that the Potomac Pilothouse would become the centerpiece of the museum. Their dream of restoring the Pilothouse is now a reality. It is scheduled to become the main exhibit at the Museum in the Fall of 2018.
Our museum founders had a dream, and our members have helped make that dream a reality. Your membership supports exhibits, programs, children's activities, events, museum publications, and more.
Won't you please join our mission to preserve the story of the Steamboat Era by becoming a member of the museum?
We appreciate your support and our gratitude is without measure. Thank you.
